The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), in collaboration with the World Health Organization Global Coordination Mechanism for Noncommunicable Disease (WHO-GCM) is hosting an informal consultation with key stakeholders and Member States on the Framework for Meaningful Engagement of People Living with NCDs (PLWNCDs) and Mental Health Conditions (MHCs). This initiative will guide WHO and Member States in the meaningful engagement of PLWNCDs and MHCs in co-designing NCD and MHC policies and programs.
This collaborative meeting seeks to connect PLWNCDs and MHCs, including individuals with psychosocial disabilities across the Caribbean and North America and apply insights gained to date and further meaningfully involve PLWNCDs and MHCs in the development of the WHO Framework.
The consultation will include presentations, discussions and breakout sessions that will be co-led and facilitated by those with lived experiences.
